Vancouver Cruises

Vancouver lies on the west coast of Canada, facing the expansive Pacific Ocean. It is known as one of the most beautiful seaport cities in the world. There is unspoilt nature all around the city, snow dusted mountains and sandy beaches – this is what makes Vancouver unique!

Vancouver has a thriving population of over 2,5 million people. There is a variety of backgrounds and nationalities here, the city is a melting pot of cultures.

Vancouver is constantly named one of the top five cities in the world with the best quality of life.

The Best Time to Cruise

Vancouver is one of Canada’s warmest cities in the winter, so all year cruising is a good option.

Visit in the months of June to September and you can enjoy warm and dry weather that is great for relaxing on the ship’s top deck.

Another good option is to book your Vancouver cruise holiday in the months of:

  • March to May
  • September to November

There is a bigger chance of rain, however, generally speaking, the weather is very mild. The added bonus is that these months are considered to be the low season, so there will be fewer tourists and more affordable prices around.

Things to Do in Vancouver

You can spend a week in Vancouver and still have heaps left to do and see. The city is really bursting with sights, events, places, restaurants, bars and natural reserves.

We have made a list of our favourites for you to choose from:

  • Stanley Park is an absolute must-visit, this 400-hectare woodland is one of the largest urban green spaces on the continent and is filled with spectacular vistas, family activities, nature trails, beaches and beautiful eateries. The park is the locals’ favourite outdoor hangout.
  • To get an idea of what the West End looked like in the olden days, visit the Roedde House Museum. This Queen Anne-style house feels like it is still lived in, and you can even get a cup of tea with cookies if you come on a Sunday. The museum regularly features jazz and classical live music concerts.
  • Hang out with the locals at the Kitsilano Farmers Market, some of the freshest and most delicious local produce is being sold here alongside hand made arts and crafts.
  • Featuring one of the world’s longest and highest pedestrian suspension bridges, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is another one of Vancouver’s top attractions. There is more to it than just the suspension bridge, walk through the trees along the elevated canopy trail and tread carefully on the glass-bottom cliffside walkway. Check out historic exhibits and the fantastic souvenir shop at the end.
  • Book in advance and dance the night away at the famous Commodore Ballroom, a restored art-deco ballroom. You will enjoy live music played by some of the best Canadian and international bands.

Top Cruise Lines

Vancouver is one of the biggest cruise hubs on the west coast of North America and, maybe, the world. You can expect some of the biggest and best cruise lines to offer departures from the city’s cruise terminal, here are just some of them:
