Celebrity Edge Features
Technology is at the forefront of Celebrity Edge’s most exciting features. From the facial recognition system that streamlines the embarkation process so much that you don’t even have to lift a finger, to the app that lets you order a cocktail or book your dinner all at the touch of a button, Celebrity Edge is designed to provide the most relaxing and rewarding stay on the sea.
The Magic Carpet, designed by architect Tom Wright, has been the most talked about technology. Tasked with making it easier to get on and off the ship, Wright designed an amazing multifunctional floating platform that completely replaces the gangway. When it’s not in use, it perches on the top deck and provides the perfect spot to dine under the stars.
Celebrity Edge Staterooms
Each of the 918 staterooms on the Celebrity Edge has been designed to blur the barriers between indoors and outdoors, with retractable floor-to-ceiling windows to let the outside in. Making up 12% of the ship’s accommodation, Edge Suites are now bigger and better, with more bathroom and storage space than ever before. The two Iconic Suites offer a captain’s eye view of your journey, perched above the bridge. For those who crave a little extra luxury, the Edge Villas feature two storeys and 360° glass window for the ultimate ocean view. When you’re not taking a dip in the private plunge pool, that is. Or perhaps one of the Penthouse Suites, which Celebrity design ambassador Nate Berkus likened to high-end New York real estate listings. There is no end to the luxury on board Celebrity Edge.
