Things to do in Perth
Rottnest island is a popular trip and can be easily accessed by ferry from Perth and Fremantle. Rottnest is famous for its perfect beaches, scenery and also quokkas! Any wine fans in the house? Well situated just 25 minutes drive from Perth you’ll find Western Australias oldest wine region – Swan Valley. Take in a wine tasting sampling a huge choice of award winning wines. For the sports fans take a tour of the ever impressive Optus Stadium, which was named the most beautiful sports facility in the world at the 2019 international architecture awards. As well as these you could simply spend time at the Botanical gardens, have a picnic along the banks of the Swan River or take in some history on a tour of Fremantle prison or an Aboriginal tour at Elizabeth Quay.
Cruise Terminals
There is just the one cruise terminal used to service Perth cruises and that is Fremantle Cruise Passenger Terminal. Fremantle terminal is actually the largest cruise terminal in Australia. The terminal is a 40 – 50 minute drive from the airport and driving is the much easier way of getting there as public transport can take over 90 minutes. Getting to the terminal from the city also takes 40 – 50 minutes driving, however there is also public transport available with a train from Fremantle Station taking 45 minutes and runs every 12 minutes.
