Istanbul is situated on the northern shore of the Marmara Sea between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Istanbul is only city in the world that is located on two continents. Numerous museums, theaters, opera houses and mosques and palaces can be visited. The second largest of the seven Ionian Islands, Corfu, is often referred to as 'the green island'. Among the attractions of Corfu is the Achilleion, a palace of the Empress Elizabeth of Austria, the old town and the viewing point 'Bella Vista' at Paleokastitsa. In the centre of Corfu is the Panagia Spiliotissa Catherdral and Platiteraklooster.

Bari has around 320,000 inhabitants and is one of the most important port and university city on the Adriatic. The National Archaeological Museum displays archaeological objects from all over Apulia. Other attractions include the Cathedral of San Sabino, chair of the bishops of Elijah and the manor house, which houses a museum with changing exhibitions.
