Roatán is a Caribbean Bay Island that floats about 60 kilometres north of mainland Honduras. The largest of the islands, it is famous for its white sand beaches and numerous snorkelling and diving sites. Together with its sister islands of Roatán, they make up the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world, which is home to diverse marine life, such as whale sharks.

Costa Maya is a Caribbean tourist area that stretches along the eastern Yucatan Peninsula. The Mexican island of Cozumel, located in the Caribbean off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula, has a rich ancient history.
