Buzios is a seaside city just east of Rio de Janeiro. It is located on a 16 acre peninsula. The city with its 17 beaches, designer boutiques, fine restaurants, luxury villas and fancy hotels is known as the St. Tropez of Brazil. Once a simple fishing village, it was discovered by Brigitte Bardot in the 1960s and since then developed into the country's most upscale seaside resort. Buzios has nonetheless kept its Mediterranean charm, introduced by the Portuguese centuries ago.

Known as Brazil's capital of happiness, the city of Salvador is the capital of the state of Bahia. The city was declared a World Heritage Site in the year 1985 due to its historical monuments from the 17th and 19th century. The city is well known for its Portuguese colonial architecture found in its Pelourinho neighbourhood. It’s is also renown for its African influence which can be best experienced in the unique music and cuisine. The city is also considered the home of the Afro-Brazilian martial art Capoeira.

Recife is situated in the northeast of Brazil, right on the Atlantic Ocean. The landscape in and around Recife boasts mountains, great oyster and coral reefs and beautiful beaches. In the city there are also some attractions and excellent shopping.

Fortaleza is located in northeastern Brazil, in the state of Ceará. Fortaleza has some very beautiful beaches. You are guaranteed a relaxing day by the sea. In addition, you can enjoy delicious cocktails and meals in the village while listening to the samba rhythms.

The Amazon River is the longest river in South America and one of the longest in the world. Although the river primarily flows through Brazil, it also passes through Colombia and Peru. The river is an integral part of the Amazon Rainforest, providing a habitat to the South American flora and fauna. The river was also responsible for the economic boom along its shores, promoting trade through the easy passage of boats.

Boca da Valeria is a small Indigenous Brazilian village of about 100 inhabitants on the Amazon River. With no major roads around, the village is only accessible by boat. Visitors can catch a glimpse of what everyday life is like in an Amazonian village: greeting indigenous people in traditional garb, observing the local flora and fauna up close and experiencing native customs and traditions.

Manaus is the capital of Amazonas, Brazil's largest state, which is almost entirely covered by the Amazon rainforest. The surrounding jungle is home to various species of monkeys and birds. As Manaus is situated on the banks of the Rio Negro just a few kilometres from the mouth of the Amazon, the city benefited very well from the Amazon rubber boom, resulting in interesting architecture around town.

Situated on the right bank of the Rio Tapajos is the district Alter do Chão in the Brazilian city of Santarém. The former village benefited from the Amazon rubber boom but suffered from a recession soon after. Nowadays, the district relies solely on tourism to support itself economically. Alter do Chão is the main tourist spot of Santarém, offering visitors and locals alike a beautiful freshwater beach with white sand.

The Devil's Island lies 13km off the coast of French Guiana in South America and became well known in 1973 when the movie "Papillon" with Dustin Hoffman and Steve McQueen was released.

The capital of the Republic of Cape Verde, Praia, is located on the island of Santiago. Santiago is about 990 km² and is the largest of the Cape Verde islands. In Praia, visitors can expect an interesting mix of African and European flair. Fascinating music, great markets and beautiful beaches are just some of the main attractions of Praia. The city's old quarter called Plato is a great place to start and end your day, there is enough to keep you happily occupied.

The city of Banjul is on the sandbar island called St. Mary's Iceland and is the capital of Gambia. At the time of British colonial rule, a fort and the Emplacement Six-Gun Battery was built to contain the slave trade. Six-Gun Battery 203 was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The triumphal arch above the city is the landmark.

Arrecife is the capital of the Canary Island of Lanzarote and is home to nearly half the population of the island. In the 15th Century, it was still a small fishing village but it has been growing over the centuries. Local attractions include the sunken crater with a lagoon, the beaches of Papagayo, the Mirador del Rio and one of the longest lava tubes in the world.

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and major commercial and industrial center. The main attraction of the city is the Hassan II Mosque, which was opened in the 90s. In the markets, there are vegetables, fish, footwear and handicrafts for sale. From the cafes, observe the street life and immerse yourself in another culture.

A blend of the traditional and modernity makes Barcelona one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. With approximately 1.62 million inhabitants, Barcelona is also the second-largest city in the country. Among the attractions are the Nou Camp, Sagrada Família, Park Guell and the beautiful Las Ramblas promenade. In addition to the many cafés, tapas bars are found all around the city and provide a culinary highlight.

Cadiz is situated on a peninsula in the south of Spain. Do not miss the cathedral from the 18th Century. From the towers you have a great view of the city. In addition, you should visit the old bath house, the Plaza de Mina, the Church of the Holy Cross, with foundations dating from the 13th Century and the Holy cave paintings visit. Portugal's capital is one of Europe's oldest cities, and offers tourists a diverse and interesting cultural activities. The Torre de Belém and the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos were recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Lisbon has many interesting buildings, parks and museums and also hosts the annual jazz festival 'Jazz em Agosto'. Cherbourge Harbor was built between 1776 and 1835 on an artificial island in Normandy. Due to its location, its counted amongst the most important naval ports in France. In the local museum, visitors will find interesting information on the topic of the Second World War. You are also invited to take a stroll in the 100 year old Parc Emmanuel Liais, which hosts a variety of exotic plants.

Ijmuiden is a town of 30,000 inhabitants in northern Holland at the southern entrance of the North Sea Canal and is the ideal starting point for a trip to Amsterdam. Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and has approximately 770,000 inhabitants. Besides the historic buildings that were often very high, but built very narrow, you will find many museums and religious buildings. From the Rijksmuseum (National Museum) on the famous Anne Frank House to unique churches and great markets in Amsterdam, there are many things to do and see.

South Queensferry, also known as "The Ferry", is situated on the banks of the Firth of Forth, just west of Edinburgh. There are also quite a few attractions in South Queensferry: The Black Castle, the Tolbooth, St. Mary's Church as well as the two bridges, Forth Bridge and Forth Road Bridge, are worth seeing.

Eidfjord is a small town that sits at the end of the Eid Fjord, the innermost branch of the fourth longest fjord in the world: the breathtaking Hardangerfjord. The Norwegian town is also located on the Hardangervidda, the largest mountain plateau in Europe. As the town offers both the water and the mountains, visitors have a wide range of outdoor activities to choose from, whether it be swimming and fishing or hiking and cycling.

Trondheim is Norway's third largest city and the country's historic capital. The city is incredibly picturesque, featuring Europe's northernmost Gothic Cathedral, wide streets, numerous museums and Scandinavia's largest wooden palace. The area around the city offers a wealth of wilderness to explore - mountains, lakes, a river, skiing trails and much more. There is a lot of emphasis on food in Trondeim, above all on locally sourced produce.

Tromsø is the largest city located in the north of Norway. Tromsø is a popular spot for viewing the famous Northern Lights between September and April. The city is also the home of the most northernmost botanic gardens in the world. The location of Tromsø makes it the perfect place for outdoor activities and is a popular starting point of journeys to the Artic Cirlce, as the city is located about 350 km north of the circle. By night, this little city comes alive, offering a wide variety of restaurants offering fresh Arctic produce, in addition to a large number of bars and cultural events.

Honningsvåg is located in the Norwegian muncipality of Nordkapp. The location of Honningsvåg just 40 miles from the North Cape makes the area a very popular visting point. Honningsvåg also lays claim to the fact that it is the Europe's northernmost village. A visit to the North Cape is highly recommended as stunning views await During the summer months, the harbour of the village is a focal point for many cruise ships. Eyjafjörður is the longest fjord in Iceland and is located in the central north of the country. The fjord is long and narrow and measures 60 km from mouth to bottom. The region of Eyjafjörður is Iceland's second most populous one after the Capital Region in Southwest Iceland. The total population of the region is approximately 24,000. The scenic fjord is surrounded by hills and mountains on both sides and makes for idyllic sightseeing. Many rivers flow into Eyjafjörður, the most significant being Eyjafjarðará, Fnjóská and Hörgá.

Reykjavik, with a population of approximately 120,00 may not be the biggest European capital, but it is widely regarded as an exciting destination and Icelands cultural and economic center, having been established as a city in the 18th century. Reykjavik provides the perfect base for exploring nearby landmarks such as fjords, glaciers and more. There are strong connections between the city and the Vikings, with many visible signs still remaining today, such as the Longhouse at Hofsstaðir Historic Park.
