The city of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. state of Florida and makes an ideal holiday destination. Due to the many canals in the city, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the American Venice. In the 1970's, the area was very popular with students celebrating Spring Break but these were replaced by cruise vacationers in recent years. Fort Lauderdale offers beautiful beaches, museums, the world's biggest everyday flea market and also the world's largest drive-in cinema, which has 13 screens.

Falmout is located in Cornwall, southwest England. The city has about 22 000 inhabitants and is known for having the third largest natural harbour in the world as well as for often being a starting or finishing point for world boat races. Some of the local attractions include the National Maritime Museum of Cornwall as well as the Pendennis Castle which is now used as a museum and own by English Heritage. The city also offers plenty of natural beauty with its parks, laurel mazes and Rhoderdons.

The peninsula of Portland is located in the south of England. Portland Harbour, since it's inception was home to a Royal Navy base until 1995 and is still one of the biggest man-made harbours in the world, and was used as part of the 2012 Olympic Games. The area is also known for Portland Stone, a special stone quarried here used in St Paul's Cathedral and United Nations Headquarters. Portland has always been a place of significance throughout history and so there is certainly something for everyone to discover here.

Southampton is a historical port city located in Hampshire county, southern England. A popular city in its own right, with attractions including the Tudor House, the stunning gardens of Mottisfont Abbey, and more, most of its appeal is held in its status as your gateway to the metropolis of London. Most cruise lines visiting Southampton will start or end their cruise here, or will offer excursions to explore nearby London. There you can enjoy everything from history to culture, cuisine and everything in between. The Tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and a whole lot more await.

Zeebrugge is located in the Flanders region of Belgium. The small town has nearly 3865 inhabitants and is situated in close proximity to Bruges. Brugge is characterized especially by its medieval old town, ramparts and windmills. Since Brugge was not affected by war or large-scale fires, the city is very well preserved. It is explorable on foot and by boat. Local attractions include the Church of Our Lady of the Madonna by Michelangelo and the four remaining city gates (Gentpoort, Kruispoort, and Smedenpoor Ezelpoort).

Stavanger is a former 'European Capital of Culture' located near the world-renowned Preikestolen, otherwise known as the 'Pulpit Rock'. Pulpit Rock, is arguably Norway's most picturesque spot, towering approximately 604 above the Lysfjord. The Old part of Stavanger, located West of Vågen, is known for the large number of 18th Century buildings, mainly wooden cottages which have been beautifully preserved and are definitely worth a visit. There is also an increasing number of art galleries and workshops opening up in this area, contributing to Old Stavanger fast becoming a trendy spot.
