Bridgetown is the island's largest city and is a vibrant and historic cultural gem. The city was founded by the British, meaning there is a terrific mix of old and new on the island with historic British colonial buildings alongside modern structures such as shopping centres and financial institutions. Always a lively city, there is a large amount of shopping, dining and cultural experiences to discover. Street vendors provide colour and character to the streets and the local bars and restaurants are the perfect way to immerse yourself in the Caribbean culture.

The island of Bequia, which lies in the Caribbean Sea, is part of the State of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. About 5,000 people live on the island and the official language is English. The name of the island, which translates as 'Island of Clouds', comes from the language of the Arawak, the indigenous people of Bequia. Port Elizabeth is the capital of the island and, with its large marina, is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Many cruises start around the Grenadines. For those looking for more idyllic and calm beaches, take a trip to Friendship Bay on the opposite side of the island.

Soufriere is a town on the southwest coast of Saint Lucia and the capital of the district. Worth seeing in Soufriere are the sulfur springs in the only "drive-in" volcano in the world. Up close you can marvel at a guided tour, the sulfur springs and the now-active volcano.

The seaside city of Roseau, capital of Dominica, has a rich history. The city boasts Creole architecture from the eighteenth century, and its Old Market, which vendors now flock to to sell their handicrafts and produce, is a former site for slave auctions. Visitors can immerse themselves in the nation's history at the Dominica Museum or see the local flora and fauna at the Dominica Botanical Gardens.

Deshaies is located in the northwest of the archipelago of Guadeloupe. The municipality has 4357 inhabitants and is a member of the "Communauté de communes du Nord Basse Terre". Visit the enchanting orchid garden or take a relaxing walk in the Botanical Garden.

Basseterre offers visitors a blend of beautiful beaches, landscapes and architectural reminders of the colonial history of the island. While the island of St. Kitts and Nevis offers a massive variety of opportunities to relax, there is also plenty of chances to explore the island by snorkelling, windsurfing, diving and golfing. Gustavia is the capital of the French island of St. Barthelemy. Gustavia is a reminder of the past when the island of St. Barthelemy was leased to the Swedish, named after Swedish King Gustav and having characteristic red-roofed houses lining the tropical hills. There is plenty of oppurtunities to discover the history and culture of the island at the Wall House Museum or even just a trip to the lively Le Ti-Marché open-air market. One of the many quiet cafes give you a perfect place to enjoy the stunning views out into harbour.

St. John is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Large parts of the island were bought out by the american Laurence Rockefeller in 1956 from Denmark. He is the founder of the St. John National Park which has proven to be a tourist magnet.

The city of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. state of Florida and makes an ideal holiday destination. Due to the many canals in the city, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the American Venice. In the 1970's, the area was very popular with students celebrating Spring Break but these were replaced by cruise vacationers in recent years. Fort Lauderdale offers beautiful beaches, museums, the world's biggest everyday flea market and also the world's largest drive-in cinema, which has 13 screens.
