Portugal's capital is one of Europe's oldest cities, and offers tourists a diverse and interesting cultural activities. The Torre de Belém and the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos were recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Lisbon has many interesting buildings, parks and museums and also hosts the annual jazz festival 'Jazz em Agosto'. Saint George castle comes highly recommended, as it offers a spectacular view of the city. In addition, you must try the Portuguese cuisine. Try one of the city's famous dishes, the cod is a particularly loved dish.

Honfleur is located at the mouth of the Seine, as it flows into the English Channel. The port city is known for its shimmering light. Many painters used this region in the past as inspiration for for their artwork. One of the attractions, the Pont de Normandie, connects Honfleur and Le Havre. This bridge has a span of 856 m, the largest cable bridge in Europe. Among the attractions in Le Havre are the Church of St. Joseph, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Bridge of Normandy.

Dover is a historical port town in Kent, South East England. The town is located at the narrowest part of the English channel, looking over the strait of Dover towards France. Its spectacular, extraordinary chalky white cliffs are for many immigrants their first glimpse of the UK. The cliffs, along with the imposing hilltop 12th century Dover Castle and its secret wartime tunnels leave visitors awe-struck, with much to ponder long after they leave.

Zeebrugge is located in the Flanders region of Belgium. The small town has nearly 3865 inhabitants and is situated in close proximity to Bruges. Brugge is characterized especially by its medieval old town, ramparts and windmills. Since Brugge was not affected by war or large-scale fires, the city is very well preserved. It is explorable on foot and by boat. Local attractions include the Church of Our Lady of the Madonna by Michelangelo and the four remaining city gates (Gentpoort, Kruispoort, and Smedenpoor Ezelpoort).

Ijmuiden is a town of 30,000 inhabitants in northern Holland at the southern entrance of the North Sea Canal and is the ideal starting point for a trip to Amsterdam. Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands and has approximately 770,000 inhabitants. Besides the historic buildings that were often very high, but built very narrow, you will find many museums and religious buildings. From the Rijksmuseum (National Museum) on the famous Anne Frank House to unique churches and great markets in Amsterdam, there are many things to do and see.
