Beijing, formerly known as Peking, is the capital of the People's Republic of China and has over 17 million inhabitants. The 2008 Summer Olympics were held here. It is an ancient city with many interesting features such as the Forbidden City where UNESCO Heritage Site of the former Imperial Palace lies. The most famous section of the Great Wall of China is located only about 70 km northeast of Beijing. Alternatively, we advise you to visit the Temple of Heaven (Tiantan).

Nagasaki is located on the third-largest Japanese island of Kyushu on the south-west coast. The city became well known in 1945 when it suffered a nuclear bombing. The city is home to a range of museums, one of which is the atomic bomb museum which commemorates the city's past.
