Fakarava is composed of several motu(reef islands) and is the second largest of the Tuamotu atolls. The area has been named as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and is home to a number of rare animals and plants which are protected by the reserve. The main village in Fakarava is Rotoava. Fakarava has a population of around 855 inhabitants. The secluded and well-preserved island provides the perfect environment to relax and explore at your leisure.
