Royal Naval Dockyard was the principal base of the Royal Navy in the Western Atlantic between American independence and the Cold War. In 1957 most of the base closed down and the dockyard became a major port of entry into the island. The keep area is now the site of the Bermuda Maritime Museum and the Dolphin Quest attraction.

The peninsula of Portland is located in the south of England. Portland Harbour, since it's inception was home to a Royal Navy base until 1995 and is still one of the biggest man-made harbours in the world, and was used as part of the 2012 Olympic Games. The area is also known for Portland Stone, a special stone quarried here used in St Paul's Cathedral and United Nations Headquarters. Dover is a historical port town in Kent, South East England. The town is located at the narrowest part of the English channel, looking over the strait of Dover towards France. The cliffs, along with the imposing hilltop 12th century Dover Castle and its secret wartime tunnels leave visitors awe-struck, with much to ponder long after they leave.

Arrecife is the capital of the Canary Island of Lanzarote and is home to nearly half the population of the island. In the 15th Century, it was still a small fishing village but it has been growing over the centuries. Local attractions include the sunken crater with a lagoon, the beaches of Papagayo, the Mirador del Rio and one of the longest lava tubes in the world.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is one of the capitals of the Canary Islands. The many cafes and seating areas invite tourists to relax and enjoy observing the hustle and bustle of the city. The town's history goes back to the 15th Century. Today it is mainly a modern city, a magnet for both locals and tourists. Tenerife is also home to the third highest island volcano on Earth, Mount Teide.

Portugal's capital is one of Europe's oldest cities, and offers tourists a diverse and interesting cultural activities. The Torre de Belém and the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos were recorded as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. Lisbon has many interesting buildings, parks and museums and also hosts the annual jazz festival 'Jazz em Agosto'. Saint George castle comes highly recommended, as it offers a spectacular view of the city. In addition, you must try the Portuguese cuisine. Try one of the city's famous dishes, the cod is a particularly loved dish.

Rotterdam, with around 590,000 people, is the second largest city in the Netherlands. It also one of the three cultural centers in the country. The city is the known for its skyscraper skyline and its many museums, festivals and events.
