The harbor city of Skagen is located at the northern tip of the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark, at the point where the Baltic and the North Seas meet. Gudhjem is a small fishing village on the danish island of Bornholm. The picturesque village is situated on a steep hill directly overlooking the sea. Visit the famous herring smoking factory and taste their specialty, "Sun over Gudhjem". Gudhjem also has a number of interesting museums such as the Gudhjem Museum and Melstedgård Agricultural Museum. The harbour of Gudhjem is lined with numerous bustling cafés and shops, the perfect place to spend a relaxing afternoon.

The port city of Klaipeda lies at the mouth of the Curonian Lagoon in the Baltic Sea and is the third largest city in Lithuania. The Danė River divides the Lithuanian city into the Old and New Town. Visit to discover the bustling old town with its many museums and Theater Square. Located at Theater square is a famous monument and fountain dedicated to German poet Simon Dach, who was born in Klaipeda. Klaipedia is also home to Lithuania's only substantial port, every Summer the Klaipeda tall ships race and regatta draws many visitors.

The Swedish capital Of Stockholm is also Scandinavia's largest city. The city of Stockholm is actually a combination of islands connected by approximately 57 bridges. Stockholm is known as being a style capital. Located just 20 minutes away is the impressive Stockholm Archipelago, a collection of approximately 30,000 islands, which is a natural wonder not to be missed. Stockholm also plays host to unique venues such as the ABBA Museum, which provides an interactive musical experience.

Visby is a town located on the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. The Hanseatic town is characterized by its picturesque medieval buildings, charming painted cottages and narrow cobbled streets. Thanks to all of the above and more, like the stunning Gothic church ruins or the 12th century ramparts in the Old Town, Visby is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit in August to enjoy the loud and colourful Gotland Medieval Week or in other months to discover the region in peace.

Latvia's capital is the largest city in the Nordic and Baltic region. Riga is famous for its well-preserved downtown and Art Nouveau. In the city you will find historic spires and architecture of days gone by. The Freedom Monument which is almost 43 metres tall represents Latvia's path to freedom and is a must-see for many visitors. Riga's Central Market is also highly recommended, founded in 1930, the market, much like Riga itself is steeped in history and is one of the biggest marketplaces in Eastern Europe.
