The city of Mobile is situated at the mouth of the river Mobile in the Gulf of Mexico and is the largest port city in the state of Alabama. A particularly beautiful feature of the city is its architecture, which comprises a mixture of different styles and exudes an italian flair. Historic buildings such as the Bishop Portier House and churches are scattered throughout the city.

The Mexican island of Cozumel, located in the Caribbean off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula, has a rich ancient history.
