The city of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. state of Florida and makes an ideal holiday destination. Due to the many canals in the city, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the American Venice. In the 1970's, the area was very popular with students celebrating Spring Break but these were replaced by cruise vacationers in recent years. Fort Lauderdale offers beautiful beaches, museums, the world's biggest everyday flea market and also the world's largest drive-in cinema, which has 13 screens.

Philipsburg is the capital of the overseas Dutch colony of St. Maarten. Boasting beautiful views of the Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond, it is an ideal location for a Caribbean holiday. On St. Maarten, there is adventure to be found throughout the beautiful island with snorkeling, swimming and horseback riding available. Philipsburg is also a hotspot for bargain hunters, with a mile-long commercial district with a range of duty-free shops. The white sandy beaches of Philipsburg are the perfect location to enjoy some relaxation.

The beautiful island has plenty to offer and is home to the most famous volcano of the Caribbean Islands.

Dominica is nestled between the French Islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique in the Caribbean's eastern Antilles. It is one of the Windward Isles. The principal laguage is English, though Creole is also spoken widely. Lush vegetation and indigenous forest cloak the island's mountainous terrain. Tree ferns, orchids, heliconia and anthurium lilies decorate the forest floor whilst 175 species of birds, green iguanas, geckoes, tree lizards, aguti, manicou, beautiful butterflies and a multitude of colourful flora can be enjoyed throughout an island where nature trails abound.

St. George's, the capital city of Grenada is a colourful and charming town based in a horseshoe-shaped harbour backed by lush volcanic hills. There is a real sense of history in St. George's, with forts lining the hills, colonial street names and buildings in the town, a reminder of the French and British presence in the past. A tour is the ideal way to discover St. George's, outlining the stories and tales of all the famous landmarks. The natural beauty of the island is also waiting to be discovered with an eco tour or scubadiving trip.

The old town of Oranjestad will impress all visitors with its many colorful and ornate buildings, giving the Island a distinctly Caribbean feel, while also hinting at the Dutch influence through colonial architecture.
